Occasionally we may take your order and consequently discover that the item is not available for shipping (i.e., it is backordered, sold out, damaged or defective). In such cases, we will notify you via email of the status and do our utmost to fulfill the order as soon as possible. You’ll also have the option to cancel the order.
Product availability is subject to change without notice. We do our best to correct errors when discovered, and we reserve the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions (including after an order has been submitted).
Unfortunately orders cannot be canceled once you have completed the checkout process. Due to our commitment to processing your order quickly, once the checkout process is completed, we immediately notify our warehouse to prepare your order for shipment. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you.
All prices are subject to change without notice. We currently do not have a price-matching policy. Companies selling over the Internet are subject to the same sales tax collection requirements as any other retailer. Items purchased and shipped to addresses in New York State are subject to applicable sales tax.

This site may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies and may not be complete or current. Color variations may occur due to monitor settings or descriptions may be incomplete due to human error. We do our best to correct errors when discovered, and we reserve the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions (including after an order has been submitted) and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. Please note that such errors, inaccuracies or omissions may relate to pricing and availability, and United Bamboo reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order placed based on incorrect pricing or availability information.
If a product offered by United Bamboo is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in its original and unused condition. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We accept orders through our web site (www.UnitedBamboo.com) or at our showroom. The methods of payment we accept are Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Please note that your credit card will not be charged until all items in your order have been shipped. Backordered items are usually shipped within 2-3 weeks from the order date. Should your item take longer than that to restock, we will contact you to make sure that you still want to wait for the item. With your permission, we will then charge your card even though the order has not yet shipped. You can receive a credit to your account should you later change your mind about the backordered item.
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. You can return your item to us in its original and unused condition, with hang tags attached, within 14 days of receiving it for an exchange, store credit or refund. Some items may not be returned or exchanged, but we note such restrictions on the product detail page.
Ship the original and unused item, along with a copy of your email receipt or packing slip, to the address on the left. We are not responsible for items returned to any other address.
For your protection, we recommend you use FedEx, UPS, the US Postal Service or any other delivery service with delivery and tracking capabilities. The customer is responsible for all shipping and packaging costs related to exchanging or returning an item. We are not responsible for lost or misdirected returns. We cannot accept returns COD. Items received after 14 days will not be accepted for exchange, store credit or return, and will be shipped back to the customer at their cost.
For exchanges, please do not place a new order through our web site. If you place a new order, your returned item will be treated as a return and may be subject to a restocking fee. If you note which item you would like in exchange, you will receive complimentary shipping for the exchange and will not be charged a restocking fee.
To qualify for a refund, all items must be returned in its original condition, including the hang tags, hangers, packaging, containers, documentation, warranty cards, manuals, and/or accessories. Please do not mark or deface original manufacturer packaging in any manner. We will not accept returns if the item and its packaging is not in its original condition and will return such items to you at your cost. If you reject that return shipment, United Bamboo reserves the right to liquidate the inventory and withhold credit.
We work hard to process returns as quickly as possible. Please allow 10 to 14 days after we receive the item before receiving your exchange, store credit or refund.
At United Bamboo, we strive to provide great customer service. We wish we could accept all exchanges and returns without any questions or limitations, but that is just not possible. Thank you for honoring these exchange and return policies, so that we can continue to provide you a great selection of quality products.
Items purchased from November 15 through December 23 can be returned 14 days from the date of receiving the item, or by January 10, whichever date occurs later. All other conditions of our standard exchange and return policy will apply.
For orders in the continental US, we charge a flat shipping rate of $12 for standard or ground delivery of your order. Please note that with standard or ground shipping, your items may take 5 - 15 business days for delivery. For international orders, we charge a flat shipping rate of $60 for standard international delivery. Delivery times may vary by country. Our flat rate shipping offer may be used in conjunction with a promotional certificate. The flat rate shipping offer excludes certain oversized items and those items will include a statement on their product detail page that state they are not eligible for flat rate shipping.
We reserve the right to change or discontinue our flat rate shipping policy at any time.
Express orders (2nd Day or Overnight delivery) must be shipped to the billing address, credit card authorization and address verification must be received prior to processing, and signature will be required at delivery. Orders placed after 11AM Eastern Standard Time will be shipped out the next business day.
Shipping may be subject to geographic restrictions that apply to particular products.
United Bamboo primarily uses FedEx, UPS and US Postal Service for delivery of your items. Signature will be required for orders over $50; please provide an address with someone available to recieve your package. Once an item is shipped, you will receive an email confirmation and you can then track your order. Packages shipped via US Postal Service display a delivery confirmation only. Detailed tracking information is not available.
If you have been waiting over fifteen business days (three weeks) for your order, and have still not received it, please contact us at email@example.com for assistance.
If an order is returned, refused or unclaimed by the customer due to customer refusal, negligence, absence, or customer providing incorrect shipping information (invalid, unknown or insufficient address), we will attempt to contact you via telephone and/or email to resolve the order. If no response is received, the customer will be charged the appropriate shipping charges and a 20% restocking fee.
Please make sure that the shipping information on your order is correct and that someone will be available to receive and sign for your package. All orders that require re-shipping at the request of the customer, whether for returned, refused, unclaimed, or undeliverable packages, will require an additional re-shipping charge.
Our site allows you to buy products, enter contests, receive discounts, fill out surveys, and receive newsletters, emails or other promotional information from us. We use the information that we collect about you to fulfill your product purchases and to create an enjoyable online experience.
What We Collect
In order to provide you with an extensive product selection and a great shopping experience, United Bamboo collects two types of information about its visitors: Individual Information and Non-Individual Information. Our primary goal in collecting this information is to fill your order, respond to your requests, communicate with you, and improve our site.
Individual Information refers to information that is specific to you. Personal information is requested when you register and set up an account, order a product, enter contests, fill out surveys, and send us feedback. We store any information that we receive from you. This information might include your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, email address, credit card or other payment information, and product details. With this information, United Bamboo can fill your orders, communicate with you about your order, send you promotional materials, and provide you customer service.
If you contact United Bamboo by telephone, email or letter, we may keep a record of your correspondence or comments. If you report a problem with our site, we may collect such information in a file specific to you. If you contact us through our feedback area or by calling one of our customer service representatives, we may ask for your name, email address and order information to reply to you. If other users or third parties sends us correspondence about your activities or purchases on our site, we may keep the information in a file specific to you.
If you enter a contest, sweepstakes, drawing or other promotion, we may provide entry information, including name, address, email address and age to the company providing the prize or sponsoring the promotion. They may use your Individual Information to send you marketing or promotional materials or other communications.
Non-Individual Information refers to information that, by itself, does not refer to an individual. We gather information about where our customers shop on our site. This information is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include the Web site's Uniform Resource Locator ("URL") that you just came from, which URL you go to afterward, what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol ("IP") address. A URL is the global address of documents and other resources on the World Wide Web. An IP address is an identifier for a computer or device on a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol ("TCP/IP") network, such as the World Wide Web. Networks like the Web use the TCP/IP protocol to route information based on the IP address of the destination. In other words, an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the web, allowing web servers to locate and identify your computer. Computers require IP addresses in order for users to communicate on the Internet, browse and shop.
On an aggregated basis, we collect anonymous data related to the pages, products, downloads and other content that is sampled, clicked on, streamed, searched for, transferred from and downloaded. We also track customers' traffic patterns throughout their online session, including which pages and information a customer views while using the site and what items they place in their basket or purchase. We use your IP address to diagnose problems with our servers, software, to administer our site, and to gather demographic information.
Like many web sites, we use "cookies" and obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses our site. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether.
Third Party Agents
We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and email, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments, and providing customer service (collectively these companies and individuals are called "agents").
They have access to Individual Information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. For example, we must release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment, and release your address and telephone information to the delivery service to deliver products that you ordered. If customers do not pay us for products ordered, we may submit their account information to a third party collection agency.
On occasion, unaffiliated third parties will "frame" our site in an effort to collect customer information. To ensure your privacy, make sure that your order originates from United Bamboo' site. United Bamboo is not in any manner responsible in the event that you do disclose information to an unaffiliated framing site.
Updating or Correcting Your Individual Information
You have the ability to access and edit the personal information that you provide to us. During the online ordering process you can review, change, or delete the information that you have submitted. You may change any of your personal information in your account online at any time. We encourage you to update your information if it changes. You may ask to have the information on your account deleted or removed; however, because we keep track of past purchases, you cannot delete information associated with past purchases. Also, as a security measure we "back up" the data stored on our systems, and such prior information cannot be completely removed from our databases. Consequently, you should not expect that all of your Individual Information would be completely removed from our backed-up databases.
Precautions to Protect Against Loss, Misuse, or Alteration of Your Information
In order to most efficiently serve you, credit card transactions and order fulfillment are handled by established third party banking, processing agents and distribution institutions. They receive the information needed to verify and authorize your credit card or other payment information and to process and ship your order.
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. We transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you are finished using a shared computer.
Within United Bamboo, your information is kept on password protected, limited access servers. Wherever possible and applicable, United Bamboo servers reside behind a corporate firewall that maintains controls on access to the system from both our internal network and the Internet.
Compliance with Service of Process or Law Enforcement
We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Terms & Conditions and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of United Bamboo, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. If asked by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide Individual Information to the appropriate governmental authorities, we will disclose Individual Information upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation, without prior notice to you. United Bamboo fully cooperates with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we believe to be unlawful.
If you are under 18, you may use United Bamboo only with the assistance of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose Individual Information about visitors under 13 years of age. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13 years of age and believe that they have disclosed Individual Information to us, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may delete the child's information.
Sale of the Company
United Bamboo reserves the right to disclose your Individual Information in the event that the company is sold, in whole or in part, either as an entire corporate entity or through an asset sale that includes a customer information database. This right is reserved whether or not the customer database is sold independently of any continuing operations of such company.
Conditions of Use, Notices, and Revisions
